Interior Radon Mitigation System Description:

Typically one penetration hole is made in the concrete floor (slab) and exposing interior drain tile or a suction pit is created beneath penetration.  Sometimes addition penetrations are needed.  PVC vent pipe is connected to the penetration(s) routed through the interior of home or routed through an attached garage, radon fan is installed in unconditioned attic space, vented through the roof sheathing, using a pipe roof flashing.  The radon gas is discharged safely above the roof. The PVC vent pipe protrudes a minimum of 12 inches above the roof surface and has the same appearance as a standard plumbing vent pipe.

Exterior Radon Mitigation System Description:


Typically one penetration hole is made in the concrete floor (slab) and exposing interior drain tile or a suction pit is created beneath penetration.  Sometimes addition penetrations are needed.  PVC vent pipe is connected to the penetration(s) and is routed unobtrusively through the rim joist to the outside, where the radon fan is installed, vent line routed up the sidewall of the house to discharge the radon gas safely above the roof.
