Interior Mitigation System:Through Interior of Home

System Description:

Typically one penetration hole is made in the concrete floor (slab) and exposing interior drain tile or a small pit is created beneath penetration.  Sometimes addition penetrations are needed.  PVC vent pipe is connected to the penetration(s) and is routed through closets, plumbing chases, or other routes to attic space, radon fan is installed in unconditioned attic, through the roof sheathing, using a pipe roof flashing. The radon gas is discharged safely above the roof. The PVC vent pipe protrudes a minimum of 12 inches above the roof and has the same appearance as a standard plumbing vent pipe.

Exterior Mitigation System:

System Description:
Typically one penetration hole is made in the concrete floor (slab) and exposing interior drain tile or a small pit is created beneath penetration.  Sometimes addition penetrations are needed.  PVC vent pipe is connected to the penetration(s) and is routed unobtrusively through the rim joist to the outside, where the radon fan is installed,  vent line routed up the sidewall of the house to discharge the radon gas safely above the roof. 

Interior Mitigation System:Through Attached Garage

System Description:

Typically one penetration hole is made in the concrete floor (slab) and exposing interior drain tile or a small pit is created beneath penetration.  Sometimes addition penetrations are needed.  PVC vent pipe is connected to the penetration(s) and is routed through the rim joist to the attached garage, routed up wall, radon fan is installed in attic, then vented through the roof sheathing, using a pipe roof flashing. The radon gas is discharged safely above the roof. The PVC vent pipe protrudes a minimum of 12 inches above the roof and has the same appearance as a standard plumbing vent pipe.
